There are times when you can't take your eyes off the sky ,
You see each cloud shaping itself into a lie ...
You imagine every dream of yours coming true ,
You wish this rain was falling just for you ...


A distant rainbow is forming amidst the rain drops ,
You see it as a stairway to take you to the top ...
Trying to reach out to from where it all begun ...
You stand in the rain coming completely undone ...


You throw your hands up and slowly smile ,
The rain is healing you even if for a while ...
You*re safely sheltered and its nature's way ,
Of telling you that it'll be okay ...


There are tears rushing out from your eyes ,
You don't try to stop them , cause you know you've tried ...
A memory fades far away and turns black and distant ,
Now its unfaithful and a captivating prison ...


Yet you muse over how beautiful things are ,
Then you realize that you've come so far ...
From your insecurities ; your hidden fears and threats ,
You understand that all the bad inside you is now dead ...


There are times when you plainly stare at the sky ...
You see the maturity it has caused and you sigh ...
You realize each dream of yours has slowly come true ,
And after all these years , this rain's falling just for you.
