You're calling me a dirty slut,
Falling for everyone I see!

Well, sorry to annoy your meddling butt,
Is that actually  what you believe?

Take a breath and think this over,
Why would I choose a life of hate?

If you'd just put down your drink for once and be sober,
You'd know it isn't up to a person to decide their fate!

I'm just counting to the moment when you'd grow up,
And realize that your judgment doesn't make or break me.

If it's too bitter to taste, the coffee in my cup,
Well, I suggest you get a life and let me be.

This was sort of my first attempt to deal with my sexuality, I guess. I hear all sorts of things about how bisexuality doesn't exist and bi sexual people are just confused, misguided people. I've given myself way too much time to figure it out and I just have to say, Fuck Them. Anyone who says that you're just bi cause you want attention or are too scared to commit to someone etc are just idiots. No one chooses their sexuality, not straight, not gay... no one. And as far as I remember, a person was never given the right to judge or govern how someone should love.
This is not a great piece of work, I admit. But, I just had to put this out there, for anyone who'd listen.

If i have to label myself which I hate doing I would be considered bisexual though I'm more attracted to women.
I find it rather disturbing that people are saying you either have to be gay or straight...
It is true that we do not choose our sexuality, I wish I could have, the truth is I don't want to be gay or look at women in a sexual way, but hey my mind does that and it's not something I can just stop doing..
However with that I do believe for me as a person I define who I am, not my sexuality. And a much as it confuses people ( both religious and not) I have chosen for myself not to mingle with the same sex and even though I am more attracted to girls I want to be with a guy for reasons more than just sexual appetite.
this is why I label myself bisexual...
I think people just need to leave homosexuals alone, they aren't evil people.
What's more appalling to me is that religious people forget their own advice. We are all children of god and god said "as I have loved you love one another." that's pretty self explanatory. Lol.

Labels are stupid. We fall in love with a person, not a gender. Love is too pure an emotion to be thrown around, you know?
Oh you got that right! Some religious preachers are just filled with bullshit. Not all, some fortunate one's actually understand that God is about acceptance, not prejudice.

I wish you could be more comfortable with your sexuality though. And anyway, who you fall in love with is not really an option, it'll just happen, won't it? :aww: : )

No I completely understand how hard it is when the people closest to you are against everything you stand for.

Haha, yes! :D ^_^

In a way, I can see what you mean with this poem. I used to deeply care about what people thought about me. But then I realized, it's just so not worth it. Once I realized that, it was like I was free. I hope you too can feel this way.

Also, people need to understand that there ARE homosexuals out there. Hell, I am one. I have homo and straight friends. And they need to understand that a lot of us are actually really normal people, but unfortunately, it's the minority that get the most attention that give the LGBT community a bad name.

I think what really hurts me is when people close to me don't understand homosexuality. I don't really care about any random person's views. But, yes I think it's high time the world starts prioritizing. There's much worse happening in this world than two people of the same sex falling in love.

There's really not much to understand: girl loves girl, boy loves boy, how could it be simpler?

And true, people need to get their shit together and realize that homosexuals aren't the sole cause of bad things happening in the world.

Apparently this world just needs something to hate. That's all. I think a valid reason is the last thing on their minds.

There's genuine benign ignorance sometimes, but even that can be annoying. I think the presumption that bisexual people are misguided or in some way greedy stems from the prepossessing notion that we are naturally polyamorous, which is in fact wrong in most cases. Not to say that there aren't bisexuals who are comfortable with multiple relationships, and if that works and doesn't hurt anyone, then fine, but the stereotype that we are, in a word "whores" stems in the main from the presumption of two or more partners from the get-go, and also the large quantity of people who merely claim to be bisexual in order to appear more exotic and approachable.

Now I have nothing to say about any individual person who does this, I don't know who they are or why they're doing it, but as a whole I think it's a reprehensible, shallow, selfish manner of conducting oneself that knowingly disregards the lives of real bisexuals whose reputations they are actively staining. It's a sad day when I'm told that I'm a greedy whore, and for evidence the accuser points to some guy or girl who actually is acting like a whore, and so happens to have a "I'm a bisexual" sticker on their bag or hat.

You know what is the most annoying thing? Judging millions, because of a bloody preconceived notion that people just make up. It's easier to hate isn't it? I wonder if all those who get out on the street pelting stones and bellowing slurs, even know why they're doing it. :disbelief:

Stereotyping is a fad though now. Minorities are forever going to the victims. And of course, there are always those who're using bisexuality or 'sexual crisis' as an excuse to whore their way through guys and girls and ultimately we're all supposed to face the shit for their behavior.
